Be Ready is an offline guide for emergencies at home in the UK. It's built so that nothing about you leaves your phone.
What we collect
Nothing. Be Ready has no account, no sign-in, no adverts and no analytics. We don't see how you use the app.
What stays on your phone
- Your settings: your part of the UK, your water company and your text size.
- Your progress, kit list, saved guides and notes, only if you turn on "Save on this device". Tap "Clear saved information" in Settings, or delete the app, and they're gone.
These are stored on your phone only. We can't see them, and they're not backed up to us.
Your location
If you tap to find help near you, the app asks to use your location once. It uses it on your phone to sort the nearest pharmacies, A&E departments and urgent care centres from a list already inside the app. Your location isn't saved or sent anywhere. You can type the first part of a postcode instead.
Calls and maps
When you tap a phone number, your phone's own dialler opens. When you tap "Open in Maps", your maps app opens at that help point. What those apps do is covered by their own privacy policies.
If you email us
If you email Be.Ready.uk@outlook.com, we use your email only to reply to you. We don't add you to any list, and we delete it once your question is dealt with.
Children
Be Ready doesn't collect anything from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this ever changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the app changes.
